Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Oxford. The business is privately owned, and operates out of several regional offices across the country with a group turnover in excess of £120mil. They undertake projects across the public and private sectors including education and further education, healthcare, commercial and social housing valuing up to £15mil. Projects are typically administered via JCT forms of contract.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take the lead on projects valuing typically up to £5mil. You will be reporting into the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

  • Be involved in 2-stage tenders
  • Sub-contract procurement
  • Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
  • Deal with final accounts

Key requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Construction related HNC / Degree
  • Experience working within a main contractor
  • Experience administering JCT forms of contract
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Oxford and have the full right to work in the UK
